What is Upfynd?Upfynd is a directory of new software, ranked by the people who use it. You can browse products, upvote the ones you like, read and write reviews, and follow the people who make them. If you build software, you can list your product for free, or claim a listing that is already here, and then keep it up to date and reply to reviews. A person checks every listing and every claim before it goes live. There is no paid placement. Start with the product directory or see what launched recently.
Do I need an account to use Upfynd? No. You can browse, search and read reviews without one. You need an account to do anything that leaves a mark: upvote a product write a review or reply to one save a product for later follow someone submit or claim a product Signing up is free and takes a minute. Create an account.
How do I find products? There are four ways in, depending on how much you already know. Search: the search box in the header (or ⌘K) finds products, categories and tags by name. Categories: narrow groups such as "AI writing" or "Task management", each with the products in it ranked by upvotes. Tags: broad areas such as "AI" or "Developer tools", each holding several categories. Launches: what went live this month, this year, or ever. The product directory combines all of it: filter by category, tag, pricing and country, and sort by upvotes, newest or rating.
What is the difference between a category and a tag?A tag is a broad area: AI, Productivity, Developer tools. A category is a specific kind of product inside one: "AI writing" and "AI image" both sit under the AI tag. A product belongs to between one and five categories, and it picks up the tags those categories sit under. So you can browse wide with a tag or narrow with a category.
How do I save a product for later?Open the product and press the bookmark next to the upvote button. Press it again to remove it. Everything you save is on your Saved page. That list is private: only you can see it. The product page shows how many people saved it, but never who.
