How do I list a product?Go to Submit and paste your product's website address. If we already have a listing for that domain, you are pointed to it so you can claim it instead of making a duplicate. If not, a draft is created and you land in the listing editor. The editor has five sections: basics, media, classification, funding and makers. Fill in what is marked required, then send it for review from the last step. A person checks it, usually within two working days, and you get an email with the decision.
What kinds of products can I list?Software: apps, developer tools, platforms, APIs, open-source projects, browser extensions, and anything else people use through a screen or a terminal. It needs a working website a reviewer can open, and the listing has to say plainly what the product does. One listing per product: if yours is already in the directory, claim it rather than adding it again.
What does a listing need before I can submit it?Ten things are required: name, tagline, description and website a logo and at least one screenshot one to five categories, a product type and a pricing model at least one maker (you are added automatically) Everything else is optional: a cover image, a demo video, links to GitHub or app stores, company stage and size, country, funding and investors. The checklist beside the editor shows exactly what is still missing, and the Submit button unlocks when the required items are in.
What makes a good listing?Three things do most of the work. A plain tagline. Say what the product is in one line, in words a stranger would use. You have 120 characters. Real screenshots. Show the product itself, not a marketing banner. The first one is the first thing people see. The right category. Pick the one your users would look under, not the biggest one. Then fill in the description as if someone asked "what does it do, and who is it for?".
Which category should I pick?Pick the category a user would browse to find a product like yours. You can choose up to five, but the first one counts most: it is shown first on your listing and decides which products appear beside yours as similar. If nothing fits, choose the closest one and tell us through support which category is missing.
Can I save a draft and finish later?Yes. A draft is saved every time you move between sections of the editor, and whenever you press Save draft. It waits under Drafts in My products for as long as you like. Nobody else can see it until it is approved.
How long does review take?Usually within two working days. A person looks at every submission, so it is not instant. While it waits, the listing sits under In review in My products. You get an email when a decision is made.
What does "Changes requested" mean?A reviewer looked at your listing and wants something fixed before it goes live. It is not a rejection. The listing comes back to Drafts in My products, marked "Changes requested". Open it, make the change, and send it for review again from the last step of the editor.
Why was my submission rejected? The email you received says why. A rejection means the reviewer decided the listing cannot go live as it is, and it leaves My products. If you think the decision was wrong, or you have fixed what the email describes, contact support and choose "My submission was rejected". Include the product's website so we can find it. If the reviewer only wants something changed, you will see "Changes requested" instead, and the listing stays editable.
Can I edit my listing after it is live?Yes. Open it from My products and press Edit. Changes to a live listing go out as soon as you save; they do not go back through review. The name, tagline, description, images, categories, links and makers can all be changed. The launch date cannot.
How do I remove my listing?Contact support from the account that owns the listing and tell us which product to take down. We remove it by hand, so that upvotes and reviews are handled properly rather than left pointing at nothing. If the product is listed but you do not own the listing, see how to get a listing removed.
