QA Automation Engineer

We are hiring a QA Automation Engineer to help Upfynd ship quickly without breaking things. Makers submit products, claim listings and reply to reviews, while visitors browse, upvote and review. You will make sure all of those journeys keep working with every release.

Why this role matters

A broken submit button on launch day or a vote that does not count is more than a bug. It costs a maker their moment and costs Upfynd trust. Good automated testing lets the team move fast with confidence.

What your week looks like

• Build and maintain end-to-end tests for key journeys such as submitting, claiming, voting and reviewing.
• Write API tests for core services and add them to the CI pipeline.
• Test on different browsers and phone sizes so the experience holds up everywhere.
• Check that rules like one vote per person hold up under edge cases.
• Report bugs clearly, with steps to reproduce, and help developers verify fixes.
• Track test coverage and flaky tests, and keep the test suite fast.

You will do well here if you have

• 2-4 years in QA, with at least 1 year of test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or code.
• A curious, detail-oriented mindset that enjoys finding edge cases.

Nice to have

• Experience running tests in GitHub Actions.
• Basic performance or load testing experience.
• Familiarity with accessibility testing.

Your first 30, 90 and 180 days

• 30 days: You know the product's main journeys and have written your first automated tests.
• 90 days: The most important user journeys are covered by reliable automated tests running in CI.
• 180 days: You own release quality, flaky tests are under control and fewer bugs reach production.

Where and how you will work

This is a full-time, onsite role at our office on the 11th floor of O-Hub, Infocity, Bhubaneswar. You will sit with the people you build with, which keeps decisions quick and conversations easy. Your everyday tools will include GitHub, Playwright, Postman and GitHub Actions.
