Upfynd is looking for a Full Stack Developer who likes to see a feature through from the database to the button someone clicks. Thousands of software products already live on Upfynd, and new ones are submitted every day. You will build the pages people use to discover them and the tools makers use to launch them.
Why this role matters
Every part of Upfynd's promise, one vote per person, honest reviews and free listings, depends on code that works correctly and loads fast. As a full stack developer you will touch all of it, so the quality of your work shows up directly in how much people trust the directory.
What your week looks like
- Build and improve product pages, launch feeds, category pages and search results in Next.js and React.
- Write Node.js APIs for submissions, claims, upvotes, reviews and maker dashboards.
- Design data models that stay fast as the catalogue grows past tens of thousands of products.
- Make sure one-person-one-vote rules hold up in code, not just in policy.
- Keep pages quick and search friendly with server rendering, caching and clean markup.
- Review pull requests, write tests and help fix production issues when they come up.
You will do well here if you have
- 2-5 years building and shipping web applications with React and Node.js.
- Strong TypeScript or JavaScript and a good grasp of REST API design.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or PostgreSQL in production.
- Experience with Next.js or another server-side rendering setup.
- A habit of writing small, readable pull requests and explaining your choices.
Nice to have
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries.
- Exposure to caching, CDNs or image storage such as Cloudflare R2 or AWS S3.
- Interest in SaaS, AI tools and the startup launch scene.
Your first 30, 90 and 180 days
- 30 days: You have set up your environment, shipped a few fixes and understand how submissions, listings and votes connect.
- 90 days: You have shipped at least one complete feature across the stack and you review code on both frontend and backend.
- 180 days: You own a major area such as launches or maker dashboards and have made a clear improvement to its speed or reliability.
Where and how you will work
This is a full-time, onsite role at our office on the 11th floor of O-Hub, Infocity, Bhubaneswar. You will sit with the people you build with, which keeps decisions quick and conversations easy. Your everyday tools will include GitHub, Next.js, React, Node.js, MongoDB and Figma.
About Upfynd
Upfynd is a directory of new software, ranked by the people who actually use it. Every person gets one upvote per product, reviews come from real users, a person on our team checks every listing before it goes live, and nobody can pay to move up. Makers list and claim their products for free, and anything sponsored is clearly labelled and never touches rankings.
How to apply
Send us your CV along with your GitHub profile or links to things you have built. Just like every listing on Upfynd, every application is read by a real person, and we reply to everyone who applies.
