Community Manager

We are looking for a Community Manager to bring people together around Upfynd. Makers launch here, early adopters discover new tools here, and reviewers share honest opinions here. You will help all of them feel welcome, heard and excited to come back.

Why this role matters

Upfynd's rankings come from its community. More real, engaged people mean better votes, better reviews and a more useful directory. Your work grows the community the right way: through genuine interest, never vote swaps or shortcuts.

What your week looks like

• Run Upfynd's community spaces and social channels, and keep conversations friendly and useful.
• Spotlight great launches, makers and reviews in posts and newsletters.
• Organise online events, launch days and local meetups for founders and builders.
• Encourage thoughtful reviews from real users while following our guidelines.
• Collect feedback from the community and share it with the product team.
• Work with trust and safety to keep the community honest and spam free.

You will do well here if you have

• 2-4 years in community management, ideally for a tech, startup or creator community.
• Excellent writing and a warm, genuine voice.
• Experience running events, online or in person.
• Comfort on LinkedIn, X, Reddit and Discord or similar platforms.
• Good judgement about tone and community rules.

Nice to have

• Connections in the Indian startup or indie maker scene.
• Experience with newsletters and email tools.
• Basic design skills in Canva.

Your first 30, 90 and 180 days

• 30 days: You know our community, guidelines and channels, and you are posting and engaging every day.
• 90 days: You have run your first event or launch day and set up a regular community calendar.
• 180 days: Community engagement is clearly growing and you have a group of regular makers and reviewers who champion Upfynd.

Where and how you will work

This is a full-time, onsite role at our office on the 11th floor of O-Hub, Infocity, Bhubaneswar. You will sit with the people you build with, which keeps decisions quick and conversations easy. Your everyday tools will include LinkedIn, X, Discord, our email platform, Canva and Google Sheets.
