Software Catalog Editor

Upfynd is hiring a Software Catalog Editor to be one of the people who decide what goes live on our directory. Every day, new products arrive from makers around the world. You will check them, sort them into the right categories and make sure each listing is clear, accurate and useful.

Why this role matters

Every listing on Upfynd is reviewed by a human before it goes live. That is a big part of why people trust us. As a catalog editor you are that human, and the quality of the directory depends on your eye for detail.

What your week looks like

• Review new product submissions and claims against our listing guidelines.
• Write short, plain and neutral product descriptions based on what products publish about themselves.
• Assign the right categories and tags so products are easy to find.
• Check pricing, links, logos and screenshots, and fix anything out of date.
• Merge duplicates and retire products that no longer exist.
• Help improve our category structure as new kinds of software appear.

You will do well here if you have

• 1-3 years in editing, content operations, research or a similar role.
• Excellent written English and a sharp eye for detail.
• Genuine curiosity about software, SaaS and AI tools.
• The ability to work through a queue steadily without losing accuracy.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and content management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with a CMS or marketplace admin panel.
• Basic knowledge of SEO-friendly writing.
• Experience using AI tools to speed up research, while checking every fact.

Your first 30, 90 and 180 days

• 30 days: You know the listing guidelines and are reviewing submissions on your own.
• 90 days: You are one of the team's most consistent reviewers and have cleaned up at least one messy category.
• 180 days: You help shape listing standards and category structure, and help onboard new editors.

Where and how you will work

This is a full-time, onsite role at our office on the 11th floor of O-Hub, Infocity, Bhubaneswar. You will sit with the people you build with, which keeps decisions quick and conversations easy. Your everyday tools will include our admin dashboard, Google Sheets, Google Docs and AI writing assistants.
