Wallabag keeps your saved articles on a server you control. A browser extension or mobile app sends a page to it, and the content is stored as readable text that survives link rot. Tags, search, annotations and export to e-readers are included, and articles can be fetched through RSS and the web interface. It is free, open source and can be installed on a home server or used through a hosted service.
