About SoftEther
SoftEther VPN is free VPN software from the University of Tsukuba in Japan that can act as both server and client. Its name stands for Software Ethernet, and it supports several protocols in one program, including OpenVPN, L2TP/IPsec, SSTP and its own. It runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, FreeBSD and Solaris, passes through firewalls by using HTTPS, and builds site-to-site links as well as remote access. Network admins use it to replace commercial VPN gear or to build private networks cheaply.
