About PeerTube
PeerTube is a way to run a video site without relying on a large platform. Anyone can install it on a server, and instances can follow each other through ActivityPub, so videos from many servers appear together. Viewers share bandwidth through peer-to-peer streaming in the browser, which lowers costs for hosts. Developed by Framasoft, it has hosted over 600,000 videos and attracts communities, schools and creators who want independence from YouTube. It is free.
