About Orbot
Orbot is a free proxy app from the Guardian Project that sends mobile traffic through the Tor network. It encrypts the connection and bounces it across relays, so websites cannot easily see where the user is. It can proxy other apps on Android, and it works with companion tools such as Orfox and Tor Browser. The project is open source and aimed at people who need strong anonymity, such as activists and journalists. It is a core part of the mobile Tor toolkit.
