About OpenCPN
OpenCPN is a free, open source chart plotter and navigation program for boaters. It displays nautical charts, plots a boat's position from GPS and helps plan routes on a laptop or tablet. Sailors and powerboat owners use it as a main navigation tool, and the software runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Plugins add features such as weather routing and AIS. Charts in common formats can be loaded, and the project is maintained by volunteers.
