About Onfido
Onfido checks that a person is who they say they are. A user photographs a government ID and takes a selfie or short video, and the service analyses the document and compares the face to the photo. Banks, fintech apps and other businesses embed it in sign-up flows to speed up onboarding and cut identity fraud, while keeping the process automated. It is sold as a paid API and SDK that developers add to web and mobile apps.
