Oculus Rift S is a PC-powered virtual reality headset that replaced the original Rift, aimed at gamers who want a connected, high-fidelity experience. Five built-in cameras track the headset and Touch controllers without external sensors, so setup is a single cable to a gaming PC and a short room-boundary routine. It offers improved optics over the first Rift, runs the Oculus library and supports SteamVR titles, and was one of the more affordable ways into PC VR. Meta has since discontinued it in favor of the standalone Quest line.
