About Gather Town
Gather Town puts a video call inside a small, pixel-style world. Participants walk an avatar around a custom map, and video and audio fade in as they get close to others, much like bumping into a colleague in a hallway. Teams build virtual offices, classrooms and conference spaces, add rooms, whiteboards and games, and hold both planned meetings and spur-of-the-moment chats. It aims at remote groups missing casual contact, and also serves parties and community events.
