Lightpanda is a headless browser meant for automation rather than for people to look at. Written in Zig, it is built from scratch instead of forking Chromium, which keeps memory use low and page loads quick. Scraping scripts, crawlers and AI agents can drive it through a Chrome DevTools-style protocol. The project claims large speed and memory savings over headless Chrome. It is open source and free.
