About Hola VPN
Hola VPN is a free browser extension and app that changes your apparent location. Instead of using its own data centres, it routes traffic through other users' devices in a peer-to-peer network, which is how it can offer a free tier. People use it to reach region-locked websites and videos. The model means a user's bandwidth may be shared with others unless they pay for a premium plan, which is worth knowing before installing. It is a quick option for casual unblocking rather than strong privacy.
