About GPSBabel
GPSBabel is a free program that converts waypoints, tracks and routes between the many file formats used by GPS devices and mapping software. It reads data from Garmin and other receivers and writes it into formats a different program can use. It can also transfer data to and from devices, and filter, merge or edit it along the way. Hikers, cachers and developers rely on it for moving GPS data between tools. It works from a graphical interface or the command line.
