About CalyxOS
CalyxOS is a mobile operating system built from Android with privacy and security as the priority. It removes much of the usual data collection from the platform and ships with microG, an open replacement for core Google services, so many apps keep working. Built-in protections include a firewall, a stronger verified boot setup and support for Tor and a VPN. Installation targets Pixel and some other phones, and the project is run by a non-profit that wants everyday users, not only technical experts, to be able to protect their data.
