Bitwarden stores passwords, passkeys and secrets in an encrypted vault that syncs across browsers, desktop apps and phones. Its source code is public on GitHub, so the security can be independently audited, and users can self-host the server if they prefer. The feature set covers auto-fill, a password generator, authenticator codes, and encrypted text and file sharing. For organisations it adds single sign-on, directory sync and a secrets manager for API keys and certificates. Personal use is free, with paid plans for families and businesses.
