About ActiveWorlds
ActiveWorlds is one of the longest-running 3D virtual platforms, hosting a universe of more than 500 virtual reality worlds. Visitors explore them as avatars, chat with other people and see what communities have built. Users can also claim land and create their own structures with building tools. It is a classic social metaverse for those who prefer shared, user-made spaces over scripted games. Longtime residents run their own worlds, and newcomers can look around before deciding where to settle.
