About Youku
Youku is one of China's biggest video streaming sites, formed from two earlier Chinese video sharing platforms. It carries licensed TV series, films, variety shows, anime and documentaries, with new episodes of popular dramas added as they air. Viewers browse by genre, watch in high definition and follow exclusive shows. It is owned by Alibaba and competes with other Chinese entertainment services. The audience is mainly Chinese-speaking, and most content is in Mandarin.
