yEd is a free desktop application from yWorks for creating diagrams of any kind, from flowcharts and org charts to network maps and UML. It draws shapes by hand or imports data from spreadsheets and other sources, then arranges them with automatic layout algorithms that untangle even large graphs. Results export to image, PDF and other formats. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and yWorks sells the underlying layout components for developers.
