About Typist
Journalists, podcasters and video editors who need text from recordings in a hurry can use Typist. It runs OpenAI's Whisper large-v3 model, detects among 99 languages automatically, and can process an hour of audio in well under a minute. Results are searchable and timestamped, with playback synced to the text, and SRT export makes captions for news clips or social posts straightforward. A Turbo engine speeds up interview turnaround.
