About Twine
Twine is an open source application for building interactive fiction. Authors write passages in a visual map and link them together to make branching stories, with no code needed to begin. It publishes to plain HTML, so stories can be shared on any website. Authors can add styling, images and scripting for more complex games. Twine is free and runs in a browser or as a desktop app. Teachers, hobbyists and professional game writers all use it, and its stories can be played in any web browser.
