Terraform, from HashiCorp, lets teams describe cloud infrastructure in configuration files written in HCL and then create and change it with a plan-and-apply workflow. It tracks resources in a state file and uses modules for reuse, and works with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean and thousands of other providers. Code review for infrastructure becomes possible. It is a standard tool for DevOps and platform engineers. The core is free and source-available.
