1 / 6Tailwind CSS is a utility-first CSS framework for building custom designs. Instead of writing custom stylesheets, you style elements by composing single-purpose classes such as flex, pt-4 and text-center directly in your HTML. The framework includes a JIT compiler for fast builds, responsive design utilities, dark mode support and wide customization. Because it is low-level, it does not impose opinionated styles that have to be fought when overriding them. It also underpins the design systems behind shadcn/ui and Headless UI.
