About superwhisper
superwhisper handles voice to text in any application, including email, messages and notes. It was built for people who find the built-in macOS dictation too inaccurate and want something that works without a network connection. Transcription runs on your device, so it works offline, and it can also use cloud recognition when you want it. It supports more than 100 languages, and custom AI modes can reformat what you dictate. Under the hood it uses whisper.cpp, which the developer says runs well on Apple Silicon. The base and standard models are free to use. Larger models and languages other than English are paid, and the app is available on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android.
