About SilverFast
SilverFast is scanning software that drives flatbed and dedicated film scanners, from a German developer. It is aimed at photographers and archivists digitizing prints, slides, negatives and film strips who want more control than the bundled scanner program gives. It offers color management, dust and scratch removal, and tools for correcting faded or color-shifted originals, with versions for macOS and Windows. A raw workflow keeps the full range of data from a scan for later editing, and the program supports a long list of scanner models from different makers.
