Sigil is an editor for ebooks in EPUB format. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and shows pages in a WYSIWYG view, with the underlying HTML available for fine control. It handles chapters, images, metadata and table of contents, and validates files. Self-publishers and ebook makers use it to polish files before uploading to stores. Sigil is open source and free. Its code view and find-and-replace tools help clean up files converted from other formats.
