About Prometheus
Prometheus is an open-source monitoring system and time-series database. It has become the CNCF standard for metrics collection in cloud-native environments, and it is the foundation of many Kubernetes monitoring setups. It uses pull-based metrics collection and a multi-dimensional data model, and it is queried with the PromQL language. Built-in alerting is provided through Alertmanager. The project is free and open source.
