About playit.gg
playit.gg is a free service that lets people host game servers from a home computer and share them with friends without changing router settings. A small agent runs on the host machine and creates a tunnel to playit's network, which issues an address others can connect to. It is popular with Minecraft, Terraria and similar game communities, where players want a private server without paying for hosting or fighting NAT and port forwarding. The project began in March 2020 and has a paid tier for dedicated addresses and extras.
