Piwigo is an open-source web gallery and digital asset manager for people with large photo collections. It organizes pictures into albums, tags and hierarchies, and shows them in themes that can be changed to taste. The software can be installed on your own server, or used as a hosted service in France for those who prefer not to run it themselves. Plug-ins extend it with extra features, and user permissions decide who sees which albums, making it workable for families, clubs and photographers sharing work.
