About Pinterest
Pinterest is a visual search and bookmarking site. People find images, recipes, outfits and home projects, then save them as pins on boards they can organise by topic. Brands use it to reach shoppers who are planning purchases, with product pins and ads. The service is free for individuals, and advertising is the main revenue stream. Apps exist for phones and tablets, and a browser extension makes saving an image from any site a single click.
