About Pieces for Developers
Pieces for Developers is an on-device AI assistant that captures and organizes code snippets, links and technical context as you work. It suits developers who lose track of useful material spread across their IDE, browser and notes. A local LLM runs on the device for privacy, and Long-Term Memory keeps track of your development context across IDEs, browsers and collaboration tools. Code, notes, links and conversations are kept for up to nine months and stay searchable, with deep linking back to the original source. It integrates with VS Code, JetBrains, Chrome and Obsidian, and includes a copilot for explaining, generating and transforming code. Pieces runs on macOS, Windows and Linux.
