About Patch
Patch covers local news at neighbourhood level, with sites for thousands of towns and communities across the United States. Each local edition lists stories on schools, crime, development, local government, businesses and community events. Residents can also post announcements, read daily newsletters and check what is happening nearby, which fills a gap left by shrinking regional papers. Local editors and contributors write most of the coverage. It suits people who want to know what is going on in their own area, from council meetings to weekend events.
