Mixerbox bundles music sources into one mobile app. Listeners can reach YouTube videos, Spotify, iTunes and radio from the same player and create playlists across them. The company, founded in 2012 by Harvard alumnus John Lai and backed by Y Combinator, now runs a family of everyday apps with AI features. Its music app is the original product and is free with ads. Playback continues in the background while other apps are in use.
