About Mimestream
Mimestream is a Mac email app written specifically for Gmail. Instead of treating Gmail as a generic IMAP account, it talks to Google's own API, so labels, filters, aliases, snooze and the rest of Gmail's behaviour carry over as they are on the web. Because it is a native macOS application, it starts quickly, supports multiple Gmail and Google Workspace accounts, and follows system conventions such as keyboard shortcuts, notifications and dark mode. People who like Gmail's model but dislike living in a browser tab are the obvious audience. A free trial is offered before a paid licence.
