Matomo is a web analytics platform that keeps data on your own terms. Run it on your servers or use the cloud edition, and you own every visitor record, with no sampling and no sharing with third parties. It tracks visits, goals, ecommerce and campaigns, and offers heatmaps, session recordings and A/B tests as extras. It is built to meet privacy regulations such as GDPR, so many organisations use it as a Google Analytics alternative. The core software is free, and hosted plans are paid.
