About Mathpix
Mathpix reads equations, tables and text from images and PDFs and converts them into editable formats. Output includes LaTeX, DOCX, Overleaf, Markdown, Excel and ChemDraw. It started as a scanner app for math and science homework, where you photograph a problem and get the formula as code. The conversion service now covers whole documents, so researchers can turn a scanned paper into clean, editable text. Students, academics and publishers use it to avoid retyping formulas by hand.
