About Jami
Jami is a free messenger that connects people directly instead of routing chats through a company server. It combines text chat, voice calls and video calls in one app, and it also works as a softphone. Accounts are created locally and conversations are encrypted between the participants. Jami runs on Linux, Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and it supports group calls and file sharing. It comes from the GNU community and is distributed as free software. Privacy-minded individuals and organisations that do not want to depend on a hosted chat service are its main audience.
