Insomnia is the API client from Kong that developers use to design, debug and test APIs. It handles REST, GraphQL, gRPC, SOAP and WebSocket requests from one interface, on macOS, Windows and Linux. Environment variables, authentication helpers, code generation and a response timeline speed up debugging. Specs in OpenAPI or Swagger format support design-first work, mocks help front-end teams, and collections can sync through Git, local storage or the cloud. Plugins extend it, and it plugs into CI/CD pipelines.
