About Heroku
Heroku is a platform as a service that lets developers build and run applications in the cloud. It is a Salesforce product and one of the original PaaS providers. Apps deploy from git, so a single git push is enough to ship. Heroku supports Ruby, Node.js, Python, Java, Go, PHP and custom Docker containers, with buildpacks, dyno-based scaling and an add-on marketplace for managed Postgres, Redis and observability. Setup takes minutes, and the company says teams can hand server maintenance to Heroku and focus on their code.
