1 / 8Book lovers who miss a good Goodreads alternative can try Hardcover, a social network for logging what they have read and what they want to read. It was started after Goodreads closed access to its API, and takes its cue from Letterboxd. Readers can search and discover books, browse curated lists, see friends' recent activity and get personalised recommendations. Extras include AskJules, an AI librarian, series trackers and a daily word game called Bookle. The team calls itself pro-author and anti-Amazon. Free to use.
