gptengineer.app, the product that later became Lovable, lets people describe a web app in English and get a running prototype within seconds. Unlike many chat builders, it syncs both ways with GitHub, so code can be edited in a favourite IDE and changes flow back. It installs npm packages, reads build and runtime errors and fixes them itself, and uses Supabase for full-stack features. One-click deployment ships the result to production. Users own their code, with no lock-in. A free tier is available.
