Google Family Link lets parents set digital rules for a child's Android phone, tablet or Chromebook. Through a parent app, they can approve or block app installs, set daily screen time limits and choose a bedtime when the device locks. It also shows activity reports on how long each app was used, and the device location can be viewed on a map. Children under thirteen can have a Google account managed by a parent, and teens can keep one under supervision. The service is free and works through Google accounts.
