1 / 3A former Google engineer built Dyad after finding that cloud AI app builders broke when he tried to debug their output locally. It is a desktop app, built with Electron, that generates apps entirely on your own machine. It supports React and Next.js, works on macOS, Windows and Linux, and connects to Ollama for fully offline generation, as well as cloud models if you prefer. The project has gathered over twenty thousand GitHub stars. It is free and keeps your code under your control.
