About Cognition's SWE-2
Cognition's SWE-2 is the coding model from the company behind Devin. It is post-trained from Kimi K3 with reinforcement learning that rewards both capability and low cost. Cognition reports that it stays close to much larger frontier models on coding benchmarks while costing a fraction as much, and needs fewer turns than its predecessor, SWE-1.7. The model powers agents that solve engineering tasks with their own shell, code editor and browser. Treat benchmark figures as the vendor's own.
