BeReal. pushes a notification at a random time each day, and everyone has two minutes to capture and share a photo. Posts use both cameras, so friends see an unfiltered moment from your day. The approach cuts staged content and curated feeds, showing who your friends are day to day. Newer features add events and a roulette mode. The app is free. Late posts are marked as such, and friends can react with a selfie, called a RealMoji. The idea is a calmer alternative to feeds built on likes and filters.
