About Backdrop
Backdrop is a Mac app that plays video as your wallpaper. Version 2.0 extends this to the Lock Screen, which Apple otherwise limits to its own animated options, and it can show up in its own section of System Settings. Playback runs in 4K with low CPU use, and the app supports multiple displays. Users can browse more than 1,000 scenes or build their own in the built-in editor, and a community platform collects wallpapers from other people. It comes from Cindori, a small developer of Mac utilities. A free trial is available.
