Broadcast journalists use AP ENPS to handle the daily work of putting a news programme on air. ENPS stands for Electronic News Production System, and it is sold by the Associated Press as a newsroom computer system for television and radio. Editors build rundowns, assign stories, write scripts and share wire copy in one place, and the same system drives teleprompters and playout equipment. Because everyone in a newsroom sees the same live rundown, producers can reorder items right up to air time. It is software for broadcasters and news organisations, not a consumer reader.
